Beyond the official program of the 20th International Conference Wirtschaftsinformatik in Münster, we’re hosting a set of “Unofficial Adventures” – optional get-togethers designed to make networking easier (and more fun). Guided by Nina, Marie, Johannes, and Michael (all PhD/PostDocs from our department), these informal activities are open to everyone, from first-year PhD students to senior scholars.
Pub Crawl
The first Unofficial Adventure kicks off right after the Welcome Reception: a pub crawl through Münster on Sunday night. No matter your career stage, join us to discover Münster’s nightlife and connect beyond the formal sessions.
Guided Tour
On Monday, we invite you to a guided tour of Münster’s city center, exploring the highlights and hidden corners of the town. The tour conveniently ends at the official Monday evening event in Münster’s Zoo, so you can seamlessly transition from sightseeing to socializing.
Morning Run
For those who like to start the day with a boost, our third Unofficial Adventure is an early morning run around Münster’s famous promenade on Tuesday. We’ll keep the pace relaxed to leave room for conversation, and with two different starting points, it won’t be far from your hotel. A refreshing way to energize for the second conference day.
We will run at a pace of approximately 6 min/km, so that we can still chat comfortably. There will be two meeting points: one on the promenade in front of the castle and one on the promenade in front of the main train station (see map). More detailed information will follow in the WhatsApp group (link below). If you want to run a longer distance, you can simply extend the route by adding a “half” or “full” lap of Lake Aasee. The promenade and Lake Aasee routes can be viewed on the map.
More adventures may follow – stay tuned via the WhatsApp group (https://chat.whatsapp.com/Bd7s6FjFpCI3Ur05KzJX5h) or just talk to us at the conference.
