University of Münster
The University of Münster is one of the largest universities in Germany with a rich and time-honoured tradition. It enjoys an outstanding national and international reputation as an academic institution. 15 departments with 120 subjects and around 30 academic centers comprise the institutional backbone of the university. Around 42,500 young people study at the university, around 5,100 academics research and teach at the university and thus shape life in the city of Münster with its 320,000 inhabitants. Conference buildings
WI2025 will take place in Fürstenberghaus and Juridicum at the University of Münster. The buildings are located in the city center of Münster and, with the Juridicum, offer four lecture halls and five seminar rooms. There are a further five lecture halls and 16 seminar rooms in Fürstenberghaus.

Arrival
By public transport
From the main station Münster (Westf.) Hauptbahnhof, you can reach the buildings by taxi (approx. 15 minutes), bus (approx. 10 minutes) or on foot (approx. 20 minutes).
The location of the taxi rank is on the left-hand side in front of the main entrance to the main station. Bus stops are centrally located on both sides.
The following bus lines provide access to the bus stop Krummer Timpen, which is located directly in front of the Juridicum:
- Line 11 (direction Gievenbeck Dieckmannstr.)
- Line 12 (direction Gievenbeck Rüschhausweg)
- Line 13 (direction Technologiepark)
- Line 22 (direction Münster Heekweg)
For the Fürstenberghaus, take the following lines to the bus stop Domplatz (approx. three minute walk):

By car
From direction A1 – Osnabrück/Bremen/Airport Münster-Osnabrück | Take the exit Münster-Nord in the direction of Münster. After approx. 5 km you will see the castle on the right-hand side, then the courthouse. At the intersection, turn left into Universitätsstraße. The Juridicum/Oeconomicum is on the left-hand side. |
From direction A1 and A43 – Dortmund/Recklinghausen | Exit at the interchange Münster Süd in the direction of Münster. Follow the road towards the city center. After approx. 5 km you will see the Aasee lake on the left-hand side. After another 0.5 km you will see the courthouse on the left. At the next junction, turn right into Universitätsstraße. The Juridicum/Oeconomicum building is on the left. |
From direction B51 Warendorf/Bielefeld/Paderborn | Turn right at the junction 8.5 km after Telgte and follow the B51 (bypass). After another 8.5 km turn right onto Weseler Str. (last exit before the highway). After 100 m turn right again in the direction of Münster Zentrum. Follow the road. After approx. 5 km you will see the Aasee lake on the left-hand side. After another 0.5 km you will see the courthouse on the left. At the next junction, turn right into Universitätsstraße. The Juridicum/Oeconomicum building is on the left-hand side. |
By plane
Münster can be reached from Münster/Osnabrück airport FMO by bus lines R51 and S50 to Münster main station (approx. 40-60 minutes) or by taxi.
